SYMPTOM(s):
AdminServer does not start after silent installation on Windows 2000
CHANGE:
Silent Installation.
CAUSE:
This behavior has been seen on fresh installations of Windows OS and Progress, the common case was that all Progress installations where done 'Silent' with a script. It is unknown at this point if there were anything wrong with the script or something happened in regards to the OS during the installation.
FIX:
A this time only workaround is to start it manually on command line:
proadsv -start
or:
proadsv -port xxxx -adminport xxx -start
