SYMPTOM(s):
Performing backups sometimes cause an error indicating commitment control is active on one of the progress proserver jobs
Using the save-while-active feature on the AS/400
Another program was run periodically in as/400 for the Database maintenance purposes which is activating the commitment control to be activated.
CAUSE:
The program mentioned above is causing the active commitment control error. Different maintenance program should be run at a different time so it will not cause either commitment control to be activated or the lock on the database records.
FIX:
Separate the time table for the different programs run at a different time.
