SYMPTOM(s):
Field security causes other fields not being visible when doing ODBC connection
SQL89 is being used
When at least one table field has security enabled, ie the currently logged user has no permission to access this field, no other field(s) is being displayed in Catalog for WinSQL or Query Designer in Excel/MS Query, the table appears to be empty (fieldless)
CAUSE:
This is a known issue
CAUSE:
This is probably bug in Merant driver, but since we are no longer fixing SQL89 issues, no bug has been logged for that
FIX:
No fix, the SQL (89) statements works as expected, ie is taking security in count. You might want consider to use SQL92 instead.
