Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Citrix MetaFrame (for Windows 2000 Terminal Server)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
SYMPTOM(s):
Clients unable to access individual temp directories on Citrix server
Users temp area located on drive d:\CitrixTemp
Each user with own temp area on server
Unable to open or create <path>\lbixxxxx, error 2. (354)
Drive permissions: Everyone with full rights to subfolders and files
Parameter file mapped drive "T" mapped to Citrix temp area
CHANGE:
Created individual temp directories for all users on Citrix server
CAUSE:
Citrix mapping on logical drives incorrect. A hard drive broken into logical partitions with one partition devoted to a CDROM, causes problems with Citrix's mapping scheme.
Citrix maps drive C as V; drive D as U and the CDROM as T, in this case, the temp area was being mapped back to the CDROM, giving the access denied errors.
FIX:
Change the logon scripts to correctly map the drives to the temp working area on the Citrix server
