SYMPTOM(s):
wtbman -query and -stop returns error 8287 and 8281
Unable to connect to Progress AdminServer at rmi://localhost:20931/Chimera (8287)
Unable to find wsbroker (8281)
AdminServer is not responsive
AdminServer hangs
proadsv -query returns "Admin server not alive"
proadsv -start returns "AdminServer failed to start: adminport 7833 already in use"
NameServer and WS brokers are running
Able to access Webspeed workshop and Webspeed apps against the broker
FACT(s) (Environment):
UNIX
WebSpeed 3.1x
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
1. ps -ef | grep java to list all the currently running java processes
2. kill -8 off these java processes
3. restart AdminServer, NameServer and WS brokers
