SYMPTOM(s):
AdminServer started after OS patch added to system
admmsg041 when trying to start adminserver
AdminServer failed to start: Resource temporarily unavailable. (ADMMsg041)
Proadsv -query returns message adminserver not alive
Query of port 20931, default for Adminserver, returns in use
FACT(s) (Environment):
SCO OpenServer
Progress 9.1D
CHANGE:
Installed SCO Open Server oss630a patch
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
Reboot of system cleared all ports, memory caches and returned adminserver to normal working state where it could be started, stoppped and queried.
