SYMPTOM(s):
Attempting to run the Progress Monitor Utility (promon) remotely.
You cannot run the Progress Monitor from a remote machine. (2259)
CAUSE:
Certain utilities cannot be run from a remote machine. They must be run on the machine where the server resides. These utilities include:
- PROGRESS MONITOR
- ONLINE BACKUP
- AFTER-IMAGE WRITER
- BEFORE-IMAGE WRITER
- ASYNCHRONOUS PAGE WRITER
FIX:
Run the Progress Monitor from the machine where the database server resides.
