GOAL:

Can I install a product for SCO OpenServer media on a Red Hat Linux system?

GOAL:

Is it possible to install Workgroup Database for SCO OpenServer on a Red Hat Linux?

FIX:

No, this is not possible and you will experience problems during the installation. All products that are to be installed on SCO OpenServer have a different media ID/code than products that are to be installed on Red Hat Linux.
For example;

-All products that are supposed to be installed on SCO OpenServer have a media ID of 177/CD-ROM.

-All products that are supposed to be installed on Red Hat Linix have a media ID of 178/CD-ROM.

This not only applies to SCO OpenServer and Red Hat Linux operating systems, but all supported operating systems in Progress, with the exception of SCO Unixware. SCO Unixware and SCO OpenServer media ID/code are the same.

For more information on the media ID/code information, refer to th Product Availability Guide at; http://www.progress.com/support.
