COLUMN-SCROLLING new 7.3B browse attr eliminates blank space
COLUMN-SCROLLING is a new attribute for browses in 7.3B that allows
you to select whether to scroll to the beginning of the next column on
a horizontal scroll, or to scroll character-by-character. The default
setting is TRUE, which causes it to hop to the beginning of the next
column on a horizontal scroll. Setting it to FALSE causes the
character-by-character scroll.
One side-effect of having COLUMN-SCROLLING set to TRUE that users
frequently report is that when you reach the last horizontal
"page" of the browser, there is often a blank space to the right of
the last column of data. When COLUMN-SCROLLING is set to FALSE, the
last columns are right-justified when the horizontal end is reached.
This is best explained by trying it with a browse with more data
than can be displayed in the widget width so you can see the effect
of changing the COLUMN-SCROLLING attribute settings.
This attribute is not in the documentation until Version 8.0A, but
is noted in the Product Update Description for 7.3B.
