"Sharing violation on unit <x>; cancel/retry"; NLM & Clients

If you have a customer that's getting the error "Sharing violation on
unit <x>; Cancel/retry" when trying to log into PROGRESS, and after
repeatedly retrying, finally manage to get in, check to see what their
enviornment is. If they have an NLM, for example, with multiple
clients that have PROGRESS installed on each machine, and share an
application from a NETWARE drive, then each client needs to specify
its own -T for a unique temp file directory. Otherwise it defaults to
the working directory and causes conflict.
