Expiration date in RESULTS V7 TTY
If a customer calls stating that they are getting an error when
starting RESULTS that reads: "Your copy of RESULTS is past its
expiration date", check to see what licenses they have. For example,
if a customer has a Dataserver, a 4GL client, and a Query/Report
client, then they may get this message if they don't start up their
session with -rq (query). The 4GL client may have full use of
PROGRESS, but not RESULTS. The RESULTS license is only Query/Report.
There has been a bug submitted that requests a more meaningful
message. However, denying access to RESULTS (versus Query/Report)
is correct behavior.
