FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1C
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1D
SYMPTOM(s):
Compressed $DLC/GUI/ADM2 directory in 9.1D is larger than in 9.1C
CHANGE:
Migrated from Progress 9.1C to Progress 9.1D
CAUSE:
There are approximately 30 more files that are part of the $DLC/GUI/ADM2 directory in Progress 9.1D. These files support both new functionality and modifications to existing functionality.
FIX:
It is not possible to simply remove the files from the $DLC/GUI/ADM2 directory in Progress 9.1D when preparing to deploy an application. Instead we suggest that the application be run in both Progress 9.1C and Progress 9.1D using the -y startup parameter then analyzing the resulting client.mon file from each run to determine which programs from $DLC/GUI/ADM2 are needed for the application.
