Abnormal termination in VMS with PROG/COPY. Where's the .bi?
If a user is trying to copy a multi-volume database using the
PROGRESS/COPY <existing db> <new db> and gets an abnormal termination,
it could be that the .bi file for the source database is in a
different directory. If so, stop the server, move the .bi to the same
directory, and execute the PROGRESS/COPY command. Then move the .bi
file back, and restart with the /BEFORE_IMAGE=<bi file name> startup
parameter (-g) as before.
This problem was reported by a customer using a VMS 6.2N version of
PROGRESS, but may not be limited to this version.
