SYMPTOM(s):
Unable to connect remote clients to the database
Connection to the database fails with error
BROKER 0: This server is licensed for local logins only. (4393)
BROKER 0: The -S parameter was ignored. (4394)
CAUSE:
This is a license problem.
Since the -S parameter is ignored, no remote clients are allowed.
The messages appear because the Provision and Provision Plus products include a personal database that is designed only for local connections.
FIX:
Contact Sales to request the correct license for remote connections (i.e. Workgroup or Enterprise database).
