"Unknown File Error Code" when installing additional Progress products.
Product Availability Guide indicates this is a valid Operating System version for this release of Progress.
Java version command indicates that this is a supported version of Java for this release of Progress.
Installing Progress into an existing directory where other products currently reside.
CAUSE:
The "Unknown File Error Code" message occurs when the Progress installation utility cannot overwrite existing files. The failure is associated with files being in use by active processes. The installation fails because these files have active file descriptors in use which prevent the installation from completing. Once all active Progress processes are stopped, the installation will be successful.
FIX:
1. Ensure that there are no active Progress processes or executables in use prior to performing the installation. If there are active processes, shut them down prior to installing the additional component.
2. Rerun installation process.
