Trying to run Java code from inside of Oracle 8 via embedded JVM (version 1.1.8)
Connect Failure: Timeout or Interrupt occurred while attempting to communicate with NameServer. (8231)
CAUSE:
The Oracle database requires that permissions be set within the database to allow the JVM to utilize sockets
FIX:
Refer to the Oracle documentation and set the proper permissions within the database to allow the JVM to utilize sockets
