HyperHelp - Maximum # of cells in RTF file
This Kbase contains some general information regarding HyperHelp,
as well as error message 460 received when compiling help on a unix wo
rkstation.
1. The character based help compiler produces an error which
indicates limitations on the size and/or complexity of the RTF file
being compiled: Unrecoverable Error: MESSAGE 460: Input Table had too
many cells in RTF file filename.RTF.
In hyperhelp 4.0.2, the maximum number for table cells is 12.
2. A help file is generated by Word for Windows 6.0. The RTF file is
generated by Doc-To-Help. It is imported into Word for Windows 2.0 an
d rewritten before attempting compile on the Unix workstation. Is thi
s correct setup?
This should be fine if your rtf files have been rewritten in Word v6.0
(?) and if you use hyperhelp 4.0.x compiler. If you use hyperhelp 3.x
compiler to process rtf file from Words v6.0, you might get some
warning messages because Words v6.0 was not available when
hyperhelp 3.x was released.
3. What are the design limitations when using HyperHelp?
HyperHelp supports character and paragraph format changes within
table cells and left, right and center alignment for the entire table.
HyperHelp ignores text alignment within a cell, table ruling lines
and ruling catalogs.
