SYMPTOM(s):
Client cannot connect to database.
Workgroup database license installed.
The server of the system has no more resources - try a larger -n (748) is seen on the Client session.
CHANGE:
Changed server startup -n parameter to 70.
CAUSE:
Workgroup product has a 49 user limit and a 65 total connected process (-n parameter) limit.
FIX:
Workgroup database license has a process limit of 65. As such you will be unable to handle over 66 processes. A quick look at the database startup section of the log file will show the following message if a database is started with a -n larger than 65:
Workgroup server cannot support more than 65 users. (5051)
Number of users (-n) adjusted to 65. (5055)
