FACT(s) (Environment):

SYMPTOM(s):
Error 1157 occurs when user tries to login.
Broker could not spawn a server. (1157)
No other errors in log file.
-Mn value has NOT been reached.
Using ProControl.
Task Manager shows a lot of free memory remaining.
CAUSE:
The problem is a resource issue. It occurs because there are differences in the way heap allocation occurs when you run ProService as a background service as opposed to running it as an interactive service. For further explanation please refer to P15101
FIX:
In the Services > ProServices tab, set the "Allow Service to Interact With Desktop" box
