Error unable to initialize threads cannot find class java/lang/thread
Java -version shows JDK version 1.1.8

CAUSE:
An incorrect JDK version is installed. The version of JVM required is 1.3.0 plus PTF9a (or higher)
FIX:
1.Uninstall Progress.
2.Install JVM 1.3.0 plus PTF9a (or higher).
The JVM 1.3.0 plus PTF9a (or higher) can be downloaded from the IBM AIX Developer Kit and Runtime, Java Technology Edition Page at
https://www6.software.ibm.com/dl/dka/dka-p
Please note that Java 1.3.0 plus PFT9 requires AIX 4.3.3 MUP level 10.
