OS Patch 0002 applied to the 5.1 AIX install
OS Patch 0001 applied to the 5.1 AIX install
CAUSE:
BUG# 20020701-009
CAUSE:
The system shared memory structure (shmid_ds) changed between AIX versions 4.1, 4.3 and 5.1. Since Progress 8.3E and 8.3D were compiled on an AIX 4.1 box, running Progress on 5.1 may have problems when trying to create/change owners of shared memory segments when starting a broker.
FIX:
Apply latest patches for 8.3D/8.3E (problem fixed in Progress 8.3D08 and 8.3E03) and ensure that the latest IBM AIX 5.1 patches are installed.
