Status: Verified
SYMPTOM(s):
Procedure Editor settings are not saved.
Editing options are not in effect the next time the Procedure Editor is opened.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Settings are contained in a .ini file that overrides the Windows registry.
Windows
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
A .ini file from the previous installation was used. This .ini file did not have the EditorConfigPath key within it.
FIX:
Make sure the EditorConfigPath key exists within either the registry or the .ini file, depending on which is used.
In a .ini file, the EditorConfigPath key should exist in the 'Startup' section. In the registry, it should exist in HKLM\SOFTWARE\PSC\PROGRESS\<Progress Version>\Startup
By default the location is <working dir specified during install>\proedit.
