FACT(s) (Environment):
DataDirect Technologies ODBC Driver Version 4.0 SQL 89
SYMPTOM(s):
Error in Network Daemon
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
Review of the prooidrv.lg indicates that the OI Broker shutdown but review of the process list shows the executable still running.
OI Broker was spawned from Procontrol
Procontrol owned by System
Manually shutdown the oibroker with the proshut -SV -S servicename -H hostname
Then restarted through ProControl.
Client able to connect thru ODBC after the restart of the OI Broker.
