FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
MS SQL DataServer
Progress 9.1x
OpenEdge 10.x
SYMPTOM(s):
Adjust schema changes the order of the fields.
After having migrated any Progress Database to SQL Server and performed Adjust
Schema, the order of the field in a table is changed.
The issue happens when Adjust Schema is performed just after Progress to SQL Server migration.
FIX:
The adjust schema is usually used when you pull the definitions from the foreign database (not after migration) and want to synchronize the definitions with a Progress database. If there is no need (i.e. no bug in the migration that caused that the schema holder wasn't created properly) one shouldn't use Adjust Schema utility after migration.
