SYMPTOM(s):
Error message when attempting to connect to a database with Merant 3.60 driver.
** Your Password and Userid do not match. (710)
Database security is enabled
Connection works if the USERID box is left unfilled.
CAUSE:
A password is required. If a USERID is Specified in the General tab of ODBC Progress Driver Setup, the Logon to Progress dialog box does not appear. No password can be entered, therefore, a blank password is sent to the database.
FIX:
A password must be supplied. Either leave the USERID blank and fill out the Logon To Progress dialog box or, on the Advanced tab, locate the Database Connection box and put the -P with the user's password.
