FIX:
When a new Progress version 9 or OpenEdge 10 database is created using the PROCOPY, PRODB or PROSTRCT CREATE commands, Progress assigns the current Operating System LoginID as the database owner. Additionally, Progress designates this Login ID as the database's initial DBA.
If the database was migrated to version 9 using the V9 conv89 utility, this predefined DBA will not exist. Therefore, you must create the SYSPROGRESS user to gain SQL DBA access. To create the SYSPROGRESS user, use the UNIX Data Dictionary or Windows Data Administration tool.
Select the following:
Admin-> Security-> Edit User List
Be sure to assign the "SYSPROGRESS" user a password.
