Is there a problem with the version file in 9.1D02?
GOAL:
Is there a problem with $DLC/version file in 9.1D service packs?
GOAL:
Is there a problem with $DLC/version file in 9.1D?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1D
UNIX
FIX:
Starting in version 9.1D, the "version" script in the DLC directory does not have the echo command in front of the text, which makes the script non-executable.
For example, in 9.1D02, file contains: PROGRESS Version 9.1D02 as of Sat Oct 26 22:44:55 EDT 2002.
The file differs from 9.1C and previous versions, this change is intentional change. Please reference Progress solution P59328, What is the purpose of $DLC/version file in Progress V9? for more information.
