SYMPTOM(s):
during installation of service pack 2 there is a message to shut down Progress related processes, such as various java.dlls in use...
no adminservice is running, no database (server) either.
CAUSE:
although the adminservice is shutdown some java processes might be running afterwards, blocking the installation.
FIX:
kill the processes with the task manager or reboot the machine as last option.
