SYMPTOM(s):
Can not terminate an AppServer process from task manager
Getting "Access denied" message when attempting to terminate such a process
Admin server is started under system account
FACT(s) (Environment):

CAUSE:
A user, even one that belongs to the administrator group, will not be able to terminate a process started by system account
FIX:
Start adm server under a user account. The user that the admin server is started under can terminate the process or
Login as admin of the system to terminate the process
