Solaris install mount problem dev fd0 intel 386 no such dev
If a user gets a "no such device" error during installation when
mounting to dev/fd0 on an intel 386, then they need to check their
mount command on the install media.
The original command is: mount -r /dev/fd0 /mnt
This may be needed instead: mount -m -r /dev/fd0 /mnt
When you select the install device, you may get a warning message
telling you that the file system may not be correct if you use
/dev/fd0. Indicate to the system that you want to use this device
and continue with the installation.
This problem was encountered while a customer was installing Version
6.3C. Refer to call reference 940811-50010 for more details, if
needed.
