FIX:
As of November 2002, Progress does not certify version 9.x on IBM Iseries running RedHat Linux 7.1. The move from the Linux Intel platform to the Linux RISC platform is not a simple certification process. It involves a complete porting of the Progress source code from one platform to the other. Thus, the earliest possible time for a Linux RISC port might occur during the release of Progress OpenEdge 10.
