User disconnects from Crystal Reports query but Progress _SQLSRV2 is still connected
New ODBC connections fail with error
Exceeding permissible number of connections (8933)
Promon is used to kill the users that are not disconnecting properly.
CHANGE:
Moved to Progress 9.1D from 9.1A.
CAUSE:
Problem with Crystal Reports 8.5 in the way in which it attaches to the tables within the database. Crystal Reports is not releasing the connections.
FIX:
Crystal Reports supplied a workaround.
Replace three dlls from Crystal Reports 8.5 with dlls from Crystal Reports 8.0.
The three dlls are:
cpeaut32.dll
crpe32.dll
crpaig80.dll
