SYMPTOM(s):
ODBC connection fails.
Using the UNIX ODBC driver.
Setup a OIBROKER.
CHANGE:
Installed Version 9.X of progress.
CAUSE:
Using the ODBC driver that comes with Progress 9.x connects directly to the database broker. OIBROKER is not used when using this driver.
Port number in the $DLC/ODBC.INI file is pointing to the _prooibk driver and not the primary broker the database was started on.
FIX:
Change the port number in the odbc.ini to point to the port number the database was started on.
