Starting database returns 8872 error:
Shared memory in use by a process other than PROGRESS. (8872)
Database had been shutdown normally.
Running Third Party monitoring tool "Big Brother".
CAUSE:
Big Brother is a third-party browser-based real-time system and network
monitoring tool (see http://bb4.com). It has been seen to interfere with a clean shutdown if it is running when a database is being shutdown, preventing the shared memory being properly released.
FIX:
Reboot the server machine.
