GOAL:

What is needed to run a secure AppServer with WebClient ?

FACT(s) (Environment):

Progress 9.1B
Progress 9.1C
Progress 9.1D

FIX:

In order to utilize the HTTPS protocol you need to have the
secure client and server products:
- Client products can be:
1. Progress Client Networking + Client-Side Security, or
2. WebClient
- Server product:
1. Progress Secure AppServer (includes AppServer Internet Adapter/S)

The HTTPS protocol is established between Progress client
(WebClient or Client Networking + Client-Side Security) and Web Server if the
JSE (which executes AIA/S) gets the requests through the web server,
or
between Progress client (WebClient or Client Networking + Client-Side Security) and JSE (which executes AIA/S) if the web server is not involved and
JSE runs as a standalone and it supports HTTPS.
