GOAL:
Progress Software does not support a database being copied to an Operating System platform other than what that database was originally created in.
FIX:
A database made on Solaris, NT or SCO, etc. is not supported if it is copied onto a different OS platform than the platform it was originally created upon.
A database can be dumped and loaded to migrate between Operating system classes or programmatically data can be passed to databases which are connected remotely on a different operating system class.
