CAUSE:
Due to kernel limit HFSZLIM parameter not being set to allow 2 GB extents.
FIX:
Increase HFSZLIM kernel parameter.
To display hard and soft limits for your system issue the following command:
$ idtune -g HFSZLIM
Sample output:
